The Knowledge Transfer Service (KTS) was created in August 2004 to support the University and its faculties in the current economic environment. Bede Mullen, Director of Knowledge Transfer, heads the service which works across UCLan's four faculties and concentrates on projects, product development, bidding, marketing and sales as well as networking and facilitating partnerships with potential funders and clients.(small).jpg)
The Knowledge Transfer Service is a one-stop shop providing support to UCLan staff who are geared towards developing UCLan's knowledge transfer activities.
The main team is based in Adelphi Building and offers support and help to internal staff in bidding for UK and EU funding, as well as supporting UCLan staff in bidding for research monies.
Students, Graduates and Alumni can get help and support with being more enterprising, in addition business incubation support is offered to those looking to set up their own business.
Through Knowledge Transfer organisations can tap into the wealth of knowledge housed within UCLan, either through consultancy, partnerships, placements for students, course development or continuous professional development.
